Third Power Group invites you to meet our leadership team, comprised of John Wagler, Richard Laidler, and Matthew Moore — experienced business professionals dedicated to ensuring your satisfaction through a commitment to service.


John Wagler

John Wagler, Managing Partner , applies more than 20 years of business development, sales, marketing, product management and strategic planning skills to the daily operations of the firm. He was a graphic designer for Ketchum Advertising, creative director for IMC2 and founder of 2 Right Brains before establishing Third Power Group. Throughout his career, Mr. Wagler has served such clients as General Mills, Proctor & Gamble, Bank of Texas, United Way, Southern Methodist University, American Heart Association and the Public Utility Commission of Texas. He is on the Board of the Dallas Police Department’s Assist The Officer Fund as well as the Carnegie Mellon Admission Council; a member of the Kiwanis International, Richardson Chamber of Commerce, and other community groups. He is also an active volunteer for the Special Olympics, the Dallas Margarita Society, Kids Matter International and several other local charities.

 


Richard Laidler

Richard Laidler, Managing Partner . For more than 25 years, Richard has mastered the skills of identifying, filtering and executing an opportunity. Since 1996 he has owned and sold several companies and retired in 2005. As CEO of his last company he was responsible for negotiating major deals with a number of Fortune 500 companies. Endearingly known as "The Negotiator" to the Third Power team, Richard's strength is in finding the sweet spot of any deal and seeing the deal through to a mutually beneficial completion. In 2009, he came out of retirement to team up with John and Matt to form Third Power Group. "Any deal will involve people; as such, the waters are often muddied. My job as a negotiator requires an element of 'force' to maintain momentum through these muddied waters, such that the deal always remains front and center and in full view; fairness and integrity are never compromised. I get the deal done to the benefit of all."


Matt Moore

Matthew J. Moore, Managing Partner , brings an extensive background of fundraising, banking, wealth management, as well as, corporate strategy, development, and marketing consulting. Formerly a vice president of the Private Client Division at Turtle Creek Financial Group, Matthew is currently a managing partner at Turtle Creek Private Finance, as well as, the founder and president of both K. Julian Capital, L.P., an opportunity development firm, and Julian Kaites, a consulting and design firm. Mr. Moore has studied at Baylor University, Universiteit Maastricht, and Dallas Theological Seminary in the disciplines of Psychology and Historical Theology. Matthew is currently a member of Kiwanis International and The Master’s Program, and he is the founder of the Executive Theology Forum. Additionally, he has served as president, director or board member of The Living Opera, Journals & Journaling, The Republican Business Network, and several other community and business organizations.

Lori Darley
Founder
The Transitions Coach

April GradyLori Darley, The Transitions Coach, is a powerful and transformative force in the areas of leadership and high performance and works with a varied clientele. Lori began her coaching practice working mostly with individuals going through a wide range of life and business transitions and within the first two years of her business, began working with Fortune 500 companies like the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Ferro Chemical. She is particularly passionate about working with small to mid-size entrepreneurial companies and has a strong client base in the financial and legal services industries. She has supported many commercial real estate consultants in developing their business, as well as insurance and advertising executives. Lori is also a dynamic and entertaining speaker and presents programs designed to inspire high performance to local chambers, networking groups and industry-specific luncheons.

April Leah Grady
Vice President, Talent Solutions

April GradyApril Leah Grady is the Vice President and Talent Solutions Director for Novotus. April is a seasoned research and recruitment professional with in-depth experience managing teams, and performing research, sourcing, candidate development, and competitive intelligence for corporations large and small, as well as top-tier and boutique executive search firms.  She provides strategic expertise in organization leadership, planning, and execution across most industries and organization sizes. With 20 years executive search, research and market intelligence experience, April has served 500+ clients including a large cross section of the Fortune 1000 and the majority of the global executive search firms.  April has managed and executed the market analysis, research, strategy, people ID and project management for literally 1000s of assignments ranging in salary from $30,000 to seven-figure engagements, across multiple functional and industry lines. Prior to joining Novotus, April co-founded AGResearch, a leading hourly fee based research/recruitment firm. Before forming AGResearch.info, April served as the lead research analyst for the Global Sectors Group at TMP Worldwide (now Heidrick and Struggles), a senior retained search practice with over 70 partners and principals.  Prior to joining TMP, April was the Director of Research at Best-World Associates where she directed a group of twenty researchers providing market intelligence, research strategy, and name generation services to a diverse group of both search firm and corporate clients. She spends her spare time with her family serving in a variety of outreach ministries. She resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

David Peters
Vice President—Client Development
Bell Insurance Group, Inc.

David PetersDave has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry as an agency owner, agency president and producer. Dave has extensive experience within the technology, healthcare, fast food, distribution, and manufacturing sectors of the insurance industry. Dave has been very involved in community affairs. His past community service includes serving as Chairman of the Board of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Wildflower Festival. He currently serves on the Boards of the Richardson Regional Medical Center Foundation and the Richardson Independent School District Foundation as well as serving as president of the Richardson YMCA Board. Dave has also served in leadership positions in the Dallas area for Special Olympics, American Heart Association and several organizations benefiting abused children. In recognition of his service to the community, Dave was selected as Richardson’s “Citizen of the Year” for 2003. Dave has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Counseling Education from Emporia State University. Dave is the proud father of two teenage daughters.
